Dr. Chen came to Humboldt County in 1998 from Southern California, after completing her residency and board certification in Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. She worked three years as a staff physician at K'ima:w Medical Center of the Hoopa Tribe, then joined Redwood Family Practice in Eureka, and has worked at Redwood Urgent Care in Eureka since 2015. Her interest in treating skin diseases and in women's health led her to establish her second practice, in aesthetic medicine.

How does a video consultation work?
You set up the appointment by email, and the office manager calls to process the $50 consultation fee, which can be credited to future treatment. There is no fee for a follow-up to a previous visit. Dr. Chen then emails the date, time and a Zoom meeting ID.
What does Botox treat besides lines?
The practice offers Botox for migraines, underarm sweating, gummy smile, TMJ and square jaw, as well as BOTOX® Cosmetic for forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet.
Do you offer CoolSculpting?
